A Message from our President
Boxing has been one of the greatest teachers of my life. It taught me discipline when life was uncertain, resilience when challenges seemed impossible, and the value of earning every opportunity through hard work and perseverance. The lessons I learned inside the ring extended far beyond competition—they shaped my character, strengthened my faith in hard work, and inspired my commitment to serving others.
As my journey in boxing continued, I began to recognize that the greatest victories aren’t measured by titles or trophies, but by the lives we have the opportunity to impact. I saw firsthand that many young people in our communities possess incredible potential but often lack access to positive mentors, structured programs, and safe environments where they can grow into confident, successful adults. That realization became the foundation for New Skillz Academy.
New Skillz Academy was created to use boxing as a vehicle for personal development. While boxing is at the heart of our program, our true mission is to build character, leadership, confidence, discipline, and healthy lifestyles. We strive to create a place where every young person feels valued, supported, and empowered to pursue success both inside and outside the ring.
As President, my vision is to build an organization that becomes a lasting pillar within our community. I hope to expand our programs to serve more youth each year, provide mentorship, educational support, wellness initiatives, and life skills training that prepare young people for every stage of life. Our long-term goal is to establish a permanent home where students can learn, grow, and develop in a safe environment while creating opportunities that many families may not otherwise have access to.
Every young person deserves someone who believes in them before they believe in themselves. Through New Skillz Academy, we are committed to being that source of encouragement, guidance, and opportunity. Together, we are not simply teaching boxing—we are building future leaders, strengthening families, and creating a legacy of positive change that will benefit our community for generations to come.
